''Modernization of line E65 - Section Warszawa - Gdynia, stage 1 in
Poland"
Railway line E65 Warszawa - Gdansk - Gdynia together with the section Katowice - Zwardon-
Zilina is a part of the 6th Pan-European Transportation Corridor which is the shortest way through the Middle Europe between the Baltic Sea region and Balcan Region and the Adriatic Sea. This line belongs to the European agreement concerning major international railway lines ( AGC) and also the agreement of major international lines for combined transportation and sites (AGTC)
The range of design work includes
program and spacial concept, building and detailed designs as well as tender dossier to select a contractor for complex modernization work, namely rebuilding the track layers on stations and open lines, such as: superstructure with correcting track geometry, substructure, drainage, signalling equipment at stations, lines and level-crossings; telecommunication equipment and network together with the passenger information, contact network with 3 kV power supply elements, non-traction network; railway electrical power network and devices of SN and nn; liquidation and modernization of level crossings together with building by-passes, new viaducts and underpasses; modernization of existing engineering constructions, traffic conducting buildings, platforms and landscape architecture; constructions of environment protection; removing obstacles of remaining elements of non-railway infrastructure and industrial and sanitary installation.
Expected main results of modernization of the line are as follows
1) Preparation of technical infrastructure of the line for performance parameters defined in the AGC and AGTC
agreements, namely speed of the passenger trains with classical rolling-stock to 160 km/h and fright trains to
120 km/h and axel load 225 kN;
2) Adapting the line to rolling-stock with inclined body with maximum speed 200 km/h;
3) increasing security on single level-crossings and through building new double level -crossings;
4) Improvement of protection of the environment;
5) Increasing travel security comfort and shortening time of travel, increasing competitiveness of the railway
