Who are we?
Biuro Projektów Komunikacyjnych w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o. (Transportation Design Office Co.Ltd. in Poznań) has been operating since 1st January 2005.
It has appeared on the market on the basis of an agreement signed on 31st December 2004 on handing over the national enterprise of the name Biuro Projektów Kolejowych w Poznaniu
(Railway Design Office in Poznań) for charged usage, which also ment taking over all rights and duties of the national enterprise.
Biuro Projektów Kolejowych w Poznaniu (Railway Design Office in Poznań) was erected in October 1952 y. as a design unit for railway necessities and it used to operate within the organizational structures of Polish railways - PKP.
As of 1st January 1992 the office was separated from the PKP structures and during the period from 1st August 1992r. to 31st December 2004 it used to act as an independent national enterprise with administrated management. Employment
The company employs around 100 people on contract of
employment basis and co-operates with a range of technical
subcontracting companies. The majority of the staff are highly
skilled designers who offer the latest technical and functional
solutions in the design documentation as well as engineers with
many years experience in implementation
of investments who form the Project Engineer Office.
Membership in self - governmental and
environmental organisations
BPK Poznan is a member of Chamber of Commerce and Industry
in Poznan, Chamber of Construction Designing, Chamber of
Construction as well as Railway Buisness Forum and actively participates in work of these
chambers on technical,
formal and legal issues and shapes of acts essential for designing
and constructional circles. Some of the staff are actively
involved in Association of Engineers and Technicians. The
designers belong to Polish Chamber of Building Industry
Engineers as well as to branch associations such as Polish
Association of Bridge Engineers and Association of Polish
Electricians.
